FIRST EDITION Large 8vo., bound in half red calf gilt, marbled boards and endpapers, t.e.g. 386pp., illustrated with 92 engravings although title page reads: "profusely illustrated by 90 engravings, chiefly on steel, after paintings by Cooper, Herring, Hancock, Alken, Hall and others". Occasional light foxing. Light wear to edges and very small patch of leather missing on lower board. Overall a Very Good copy.
