Crowned monogram of Empress Marie Louise (Napoleon's second wife) in gilt to top of spine. TEXT IN GERMAN. Pages unnumbered. Title page plus second engraved title page. 2pp. Contents (in German and French), large folding Map of Paris followed by 100 engravings (2 to a page, mostly with tissue guards) and captions in German on separate pages in between. Large pencil name and date (1938) to ffep and pencil notes concerning the book having come from the Library of the Empress Marie Louise to front pastedown. Slight browning to page edges and occasional light foxing. Damage to spine at base and edges with some old worming and loss (please see photos). Small chips to edges of orange paper-covered boards and light soiling. Overall a Good Copy.
