FIRST EDITION 4to. hardback, halfbound in maroon morocco with raised bands, gilt, to spine and red buckram-bound boards, gilt. Main part runs from Page 65 to 162 and Appendix from Page 163 to 212. Each part contains the original 8 engraved plates as called for plus 2 later (1824 and c. 1830) plates to Part I and 1 later plate (1851) to Appendix. Also a small engraving pasted to verso of ffep along with pencil and ink notes. Occasional other pencil notes. Heavy water staining to top half of first few pages and last few pages of first part and endpapers. Also rather heavy soiling to front prelims. Light wear and rubbing to spine. Heavier rubbing and soiling to boards. Overall a Good+ Copy of a scarce book.
