FIRST THUS 4to. (approx. 28 x 21.5cm) brown cloth hardback with decorative titles in gilt and blue. Pages unnumbered. Each text page printed (one side only) in black with a blue decorative border or vignette. Illustrated with 10 colour tipped-in plates (including frontispiece) with captioned tissue guards and 19 smaller plates pasted-in to text pages within decorative borders. Tissue guard to frontispiece half detached and somewhat wrinkled. Some sporadic light foxing, occasionally heavy, particularly to prelims. Foxing also to top and foredge. Front inner hinge stretched but holding. Light fraying to top and base of spine and some small ink spots to spine (please see photos). Overall a GOOD+ COPY.
