Old ink gift inscription dated 1878 to half-title, which has offset to the reverse of the frontis, old handwritten note fixed to ffep, and a previous owner's modern bookplate to front pastedown. Front inner hinge beginning to split, internal hinge pulled, occasional light foxing, plates a little browned, slight wear to edges of boards and spine ends. A Good, Sound copy overall.
